Let's skip the marketing and get straight to the point. Here's how to go from zero to running your first sprint in antbase.
Step 1: Create your workspace (2 min)
Sign up at app.antbase.co. You'll be prompted to name your workspace — use your company or team name. This is what your teammates will see when they get an invite.
Step 2: Create your first Space (1 min)
A Space is a top-level container — think of it as a department or a major product area. Create one Space called "Product" or "Engineering" or whatever fits your team. You can add more later.
Step 3: Create a Project inside your Space (1 min)
Projects live inside Spaces. Create a project for your current sprint or initiative. Give it a clear name like "Q2 Launch" or "Mobile App v2".
Step 4: Add your first tasks (2 min)
Click "+ Add task" and start typing. Don't overthink this — rough task names are fine. You can add descriptions, due dates, and assignments in a moment. Add 5–10 tasks that represent the real work.
Step 5: Invite your team (1 min)
Go to Settings → Members → Invite. Enter email addresses. They'll get a magic link — no password required. Assign roles: Admin, Manager, or Member.
Step 6: Assign tasks and set due dates (2 min)
Click each task and assign it to a team member. Set a due date. Now open the Workload View — you'll immediately see how the work is distributed. Rebalance anything that looks off before the sprint starts.
You're ready
That's it. Your team can now see their tasks, you can see their workload, and everyone knows what's happening. antbase works best when you keep it simple — tasks, assignments, due dates, and the Workload View. Everything else is optional.
